The spirit of travelling fabrics
A family history that travels from 1850 to the present day.
It was the year 1850 when the great-great-grandmother created a small textile shop in the center of the village.
There she offered precious fabrics that traveled thousands of kilometers until they reached the wise hands that would transform them into colorful skirts, elegant shirts and soft dresses with graceful ruffles.
Some of the fabrics came from the distant Philippines. The inhabitants of the place used to pronounce a special word to refer to the great-great-grandmother for her sympathy, affection and grace. That word was “Chichirica”.
This is how it happened, which became known as “Chichirica” by the whole town. And not only her, but also her entire family.
The great-great-grandmother didn’t hesitate for a moment: she had found the ideal name for her store!
This name has survived to the present day and continues to resonate in our hearts.
Today, we wanted to call our travel agency after that little shop of the great-great-grandmother.
Now the trips are not undertaken by the fabrics, but by our clients, but we keep the spirit of the word “chichirica” alive in each of the routes we manage.
